I just saw this on youtube earlier today and I really thought it was amazing. Really. I shows the hope, even in the destruction. “The light shines in the darkness, but the darness has not understood it” John 1:5 For some reason, that reminded me of the scripture. I’m so inspired by you guys. Thanks so much for being a pillar of hope.
This is amazing! it really shows the heart of by your side, the passion you guys play with is just incredible, and it’s so cool how the video brought the song back to real life.
This song has gotten me through so many rough times thoughout my life when I thought there was nothing left to fight for, and this video just brings a new hope to it. By Your Side helped me through this past year when I felt I had been abandoned by everyone, especially God. And it helped me understand the simple, but profound truth that God will never leave my side. When I’m lonely, He’s the One who holds me, who fills me up again, who completes me and who is entirely enough for me.

Like many others, this song has given me the strength and courage to go on through life’s battles. This video is very impacting because it allows us to see how truly blessed we are to have Him by our side when we are not worthy of his love and mercy on us. Wow… That is so amazing. God has never put me in a position where I feel like I have nothing and I’m hurt that bad. But I hope that when it happens to me, when I’m in pain and don’t know what to do, that I’ll remember that God is always there, holding me. It’s crazy how much he loves us and how he’s always always there by our side whenever we fall. This is truley an amazing video. It shows the pain that people go through when they lose everything, but it also shows God carrying them through it all! I love this video, thank you for letting God work through you to make a difference in the world and in people’s lives.

Wow, that was so excellent. However sad it is, its life and you show it just as it is, BUT with Jesus standing right there with us, it makes it much easier. I love the band so much, and thank God for you. so God completely just broke me down through this video. He is absolutely amazing and speaks through each one of you guys. i see Him soo much through each and every one of you and your families.
also, on a side note, i know that you guys are loving all this attention/spotlight, but i just wanted to ask you please do not get caught up in it. i like you guys because yall are different than other bands. you speak God’s Word through your music and all the time on stage and when you talk to people. so just remember that the only thing that will last is Jesus and what you do for (or because) Him.

WOW. This video is amazing. I got the pleasure of meeting some of the people from the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team when they came to my place of work when they were helping a nearby town that had gotten hit by an F-5 tornado. Seeing this brought tears to my eyes, because it not only applies to natural disasters, but to every valley you go through in life. I LOVE this song. Thanks for the video post, guys. I’ve always heard a lot of coverage on Hurricane Katrina living in Baton Rouge, but even though I heard about it so often, I never really seemed to realize how much it devastated so many people. To lose everything you can call your own–that seems pretty horrific. To see all the individual people who are hurting really accents the message–He’s here for all of us. (:

+I always see these tragedies happening on tv but never really felt any empathy towards all of the victims of these events. Although I will never fully understand the pain that they have suffered, with this video it makes me feel so much more empathy. The video was done GREAT! The band and the other scenes had a good balance. The song is so wonderful and the video just makes it so much more meaningful. I absolutely love this band and I hope that I will be seeing more amazing music videos. God will continue to do great things with this band. SO WONDERFUL+

I love this song so much from the very first time I heard it. Fortunately, I’ve never experienced this type of tragedy, but I was incredibly betrayed by my family. This song just reminded me that He loves me no matter what the world throws at us. In a way that those closest to us don’t even know how. Thank you for following Holy Spirits leading you to do this song.

God had left my side. One day I was driving home from work and this song came on. It was like God was speaking to me, I just broke down and cried. I then knew this was his way of telling me he never left me.
I think the vid is great–I love the song, and the vid just emphasizes the message of the song…although I do think the Love is Here vid is better. Glad you guys made another one though…been waiting for it to happen.
I can’t put into words what a blessing this song has been to my husband and I…we’ve heard it a thousand times and it still brings a flood of emotion and praise to God every time we hear it. I really like your new video of your new song ” By Your Side!”. It reminds of my rough times. Couple years ago I went to McKnight Middle School for my 8th Grade year I met my friend David Merkle. We really became really good friends for a long time. Well, I wrote him a letter while back, and I got into trouble by him when I was in my freshman year. He told me that I wasn’t allowed to be over there at the school to visit him anymore, I broke his promise that he gave me, and he broke up our friendship after what happen. I was going through a really hard time after David and I have separated each other. It was hurtful, and I was broken hearted. I was angry at him for a long time. He never came back for me to visit me and I wrote him another letter by apologizing to him and I am hoping that he will forgive me. But he never wrote me back, he never came back to visit me, and I was waiting for him to say something to me by apologizing to me, and maybe he will forgive me. I hope he will apologize to me too, and I am hoping that I will be able to forgive him. Please for pray for us. Pray that God will open his heart, and maybe David can be able to come back into my life again and hopefully that God will bring our friendships back together. Pray for him that he will accept Jesus in his life, and maybe one day he will be able to forgive me.
That song touches my heart. Thinking about him, and for the pain that he cause me.

I really did like the video, however, I think that it lacked the powerful message that it could have carried with a more conventional storyline based progression. Don’t get me wrong though, it’s really great.

Great Video, but I agree with Rogers. This song had much more potential with a video. I feel like it was also too much of a promotional video for the BG association when that isn’t the real message. Its not about what they’re doing or how great they are, but its about about how God is truly supreme over His creation and uses followers as vessels for His glory. Its about the steadfast, everlasting, unchanging God who will hold you to the end and carry you through.

I love the song, and the video has some great moments, but it was better when you weren’t constantly staring in the camera. When you started to not look into it, it felt more real, but then one part you got self-conscious and you looked back into it. It was a good theme, but I didn’t like a lot of the camera work kinda annoying, and one part made me feel a little dizzy. I thought the stuff outside was amazing! and the people’s stories were moving. Please don’t take offense to my criticism. I really love y’alls music, and your my favorite band! =]

I love playing this song on my guitar and singing it with friends and family, but after seeing this video is puts so much more passion for this song in my heart. I live in Cedar Rapids, Ia where just 1 year ago we had a flood that just distroyed the city, it was recorded as one of the top 5 worst natural disasters in United States history. One month before the floods Iowa got hit with a EF5 tornado that distroyed even more cities. So this video really hits home for me and shows Gods love in action and both believers and non-believers can see it. Thanks guys you did a wonderful job
This song touches me everytime I hear it. I love it and I cant seem to get enough of it. Just like I cant get enough of God. Songs like this light a fire under me, makin me want to go out and share God with everyone and let them know what He’s all about. This song says it all. He is holding us. I know we all go through some tough times, but we go through them for a reason. God is there to help us. He is our rock, and our Savior. Gim him your burdons and you will be set free. I love Him and I know that without him, I would be nothin.

This song is just absolutely amazing. I’m not ashamed to say that it is the best song that describes with great clarity that God is with us always, though the highs and lows. Most of the time I believe that we just ignore that simple truth until something happens to us that spears our hearts. Reminds me a lot of Joshua 1:9.

All I can say is WOW! Our home was flooded a few years ago and my parents and many friends were hit by the tornado in Parkersburg, IA. The devastation in both cases was indescribable. To see this video makes me remember how strong my faith became how there were days when I questioned my faith but HE NEVER left my side. I know He held me even when I couldn’t hold myself up. This made me look at what was truly important and how I was living. This stirs so many emotions in me. I Thank You for a song and video that touches so many lives with it’s reality and truth. So ……. WOW!!!
This has been the most inspiring song I have ever heard. It just lifted me up the instant I heard it. I was questioning Love. In hearing this song and watching the video answered my question. Love is right in front of me, and that is God. Jesus is there at all times, especially through all the stroms that I have survived spritially and physically.
I have been hearing your song on the radio and I just love it, but I just seen the video and “WOW” just blew me away. Very touching and it put’s me in check and realize how bless I am and that their are people out there that have it much worse than me. People that lost families, homes and even hope. Your music can remind us that with “GOD” all things are possible.
I just wanted to say that By Your Side has been such a blessing to me and my family. Its not just another praise and worship song (not that theres anything wrong with those) but it really just shows God’s heart toward us. Thanks Guys God bless

The first time I heard this song I was lying in my bed listening to the 98.5 ktis, then your song came on, and I was (in that point in my life) having a BIG problem with boys, I wanted attention from them ALL the time. And to make things worse, I did NOT have a good relatoinship with God, at all. So I was listening to your song then the part that says “Why are you looking for love as if I am not enough.” When I heard that I started bawling!!

Wow that video was very touching it just shows that when in need we as humans are there for one another no matter what the circumstances are. This is one of my favorite songs from this group, it not only opens your eyes to the reality all arund but also shows you that your never alone even when you think you are.
I recently went through a horrible experience. One where I questioned where God was and why I was suffering. I heard your song on Z88.3 and immediately had to buy it.
I loved it, but sometimes it was hard to believe the lyrics. Really, was God by my side? Didn’t feel like it very often. I had to change the lyrics in my head to not just HEAR God’s promise, but to actually BELIEVE it myself. It’s a psychological thing, but sometimes if God is feeling distant and not actively there with me, I’ll sing:

i sent this video to a friend who was fighting cancer had a severe stroke and lost his 12 year old son violently when he was in the hospital for treatment he has been threw alot and even as a child 43 foster homes since the age of 2 untill 19 was born premature at 1.5 pounds and felt like no one loved or wanted him this song gets thru

This song helped me tremndously on a couple of nights where I thought we were going to lose our little baby. I was alone at the level 3 NICU hospital while my wife was still in another hospital after giving birth to our son. He was put on life support and then yet another form of life support all while my wife was still in another hospital. I thought I was going to lose him and the scary part is I briefly thought I was alone, that is until I went into a dark room, put my earphones on and pressed repeat on the MP3 player for “By Your Side.” It definitely reminded me that I was not alone.

I’ve loved this song for quite awhile, since they play it a lot on 95.9 KFSH “The FISH” out here in Orange County, CA, but only today did I see this excellent video and it really captures the truth of the Word that says nothing can separate us from God’s love. I think of John 10:28-29 “And I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. And no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.” God is sure using you Tenth Avenue North!
The lyrics are so powerful, but it’s the music itself that makes my heart swell. Beauty is something that brings joy. (not sure who said that) and joy doesn’t always mean being happy. Joy can be painful and heartbraking, but it also produces hope, and that is what I feel whenever I listen to this song. Joy and hurt and hope. Beauty.
I am 22 and am going through some pretty hard decisions in life which cause me to be on a shaky ground with God. Yet, everytime I hear this song, I literally cry, it touches my heart so much. I feel like Jesus is actually speaking to me. I always tell K-love to play this song, if they could play it over and over non stop, I would not mind. I totaly luv this video. My mom woke up to the song on the radio two nights in a row. She needed to hear what the song said. It was like God was speaking to her through the song telling her he loves her. This is how I got started with Tenth Avenue North. It really helped my mom to not give up through the tough times she was going through.

I love this song. I remember the first time I heard it on the radio station my mom and I listen to (89.3 KSBJ). It was a song I hadn’t heard before, and it just got to me. I like listening to it when I feel lonely, especially right now because I’m on vacation in south america without my mom, and it makes me feel better, knowing I have God on my side, knowing He and His angels are watching over me.

On Saturday night I lost someone very special & important to me. I was angry & sad & God allowed me to have my feelings about it. Then I woke up on Sunday morning with these words in my head-my hands are holding you. I had heard the song on Air 1 radio & I believe this is God’s way of reminding me that, no matter what happens, His hands are holding me. Thank you for this amazing song & for reminding me that God is always in control & I am never out of His sight or love.
My fiance and I have gone through many trials in life and aside from that he had always struggled with his spritual life because of his addiction. I’m an advocate listener of K-Love and every time this song came on, I would blast this song whether he was in my car or not. We were recently separated this year because of his addiction. He had to serve 1 year in prison. Since he’s been in there, all he listen’s to now is K-Love and each time he here’s this song he crys because he belives it’s God’s way of telling him that I’m Ok and no matter what he’s in control.

I was in a really rough time in my life.
