Hello

May 31st, 2009

Hey everyone out there.
We’re done with the bulk of recording the new record, unfortunately it won’t be released until early 2010 (such a futuristic looking date).  Anyway, we’re super excited.  In fact, we’re elated.  It’s been such a blessing to feel so good about a project.  The boys and I have been so encouraged by this whole experience.  I hope that God uses this new record in the same (or more!) than the last, but in a different way.  Over and Underneath connected with everyone at such an epicenter of the soul, and this new one may very well do the same thing but in a different place of the heart.

It’s a funny thing this blog.  Now I know i’m one for flights of fancy and daydreaming, but this blog sounds like a sci-fi novel.  2010…an omnipresent being employing and working in a unique way; an art piece moving and reaching into people and being used by the omnipresent being.  Crazyiness.  I like it.

Today we went whitewater rafting.  It was such a wonderful experience.  Our guide recited poetry he had written.  He also said he grew up in church but “not so much” anymore.  He’s out in mother nature and that it was the “first book ever written.”  Not sure what that means still.  I recommend this lightly colored rafting.  Like Indiana Jones and a roller coaster wrapped in one…except there’s no theme music or white-gloved mouse.

It’s 11:21pm and it’s about lights out for me.  I’m going coo coo.  I bid you all pleasent dreams.

-jeff

    Hey bud,

2010? 2010? Why so long?????? Hey, I’d wait ’til 2020. Good to get a journal entry from you. I miss all the band webisodes from on the road. Will you be doing them again when your northern tour starts? I hope so. I created a Tenth Avenue North flyer (with the bands picture and all your tour dates) and handed them out at Church yesterday. We’ve got car loads coming. We live in Bucks County, PA (where good old George Washington hung out for a while, and crossed the Delaware of course. Anywho, can’t wait to see you in Millville, NJ and NY.

    Take care, God bless,

Haha! How funny! 2010 a futuristic date.

I just found your website literally right now. My mom and I were just talking about when to begin really showing my horse and we decided on 2010! The first “Paso” show out West called “Carousel”.

So my elation doubles with yours. So if your CD comes out before March 13th, then I will buy it and play when the DJ for the show isn’t looking….. MWWWHAHAHAHAH!!!!

The power of insanity. Anywho! I hope you guys are having fun and never forget WHO brought you this far. God’s mercy and blessing be with you.

    Sincerely,
    M.

    Hey man,

I don’t know quite where to send this, so forgive me for the copying and pasting to each journal. I just really hope each one of you eventually do read this. My name is Nicolle. I was the girl at the Wichita concert who came up to the 4 of you after the concert with a picture of my boyfriend, Brock, who has recently been diagnosed with brain cancer. I just wanted to drop a line to give a fuller picture of what’s going on and to share the awesomeness of our God.

March 31st was when I took him to the emergency room in Manhattan, KS. A few hours later he was lifeflighted to KC. We then discovered that he has a baseball sized malignant tumor in his thalamus. The type of cancer is rare and the tumor is inoperable. Since then he’s lost his ability to take care of himself, walk, and communicate. He also doesn’t seem to recognize anyone. There’s been a

    Praises:

    1. All $270,000 of Brock’s medical bills have been covered by disability!

    2. He’s still alive! The tumor is so big and he went down hill so fast, but he’s survived the first round of radiation and chemo and the doctor’s are even giving him 4-5years!

    3. He recognized someone last week! He hasn’t known me for a while and he doesn’t respond to his family anymore, but a good friend flew in from NYC to see him and Brock actually responded :D

    4. Our God is God above all pain, above all turmoil, and above all that life can through at us.

I’ve been thrown on my face so often with this. A few weeks My heart has been mutilated more often than not, but He is so good.

how frustrating. the center chunk of what i wrote some how got cut out. funny, that was what was the most burning for me to write. no worries i supposed.

I’m so glad that all of you are better after being sick, like that. Eat more apples. I try to eat one a day, and I rarely get sick. I am so glad to hear about your new cd. I have been playing your first one, every day since I first downloaded it. I love ‘beloved’, I cried the first time I heard it. I can’t wait to hear your new music. I know it will be fantastic. I gave my sister-in-law a copy of your cd and she thanked me, she really likes it. I enjoy reading your journals. It reminds me that I am a sinner, and that God and Jesus love me no matter what. Thank you for everything that you do. Don’t ever stop recording. I imagine you inspire people everytime they hear your songs. I know because your songs inspire me. Keep up the great work.

I have only bought one CD in the past 5 years. I usually just listen to Christian songs on the radio. The song that caused me to go straight out and purchase your CD was when I heard “Hold My Heart.” I really liked “By Your Side” but I had to have the CD to listen to “Hold My Heart”. I have it completely memorized and the praise team at church sang it for me for my birthday on Sunday morning.

I have been going through really tough times over the last year or so. I got so frustrated that I sat down and wrote God a letter, 8 pages worth. When I first heard “Hold My Heart” I told my daughter that I wrote about half of it in my letter to God when I wrote it several months ago. It struck a chord with me.

I am absolutely touched by every song on the CD. Each is different, but yet they all struck me to the core of my being. This year, I have learned about the verses in the Bible where they “rent their clothes” in despair. I have been there many times over the past months.

Thanks for listening to the Holy Spirit and for pouring your hearts into the songs. I am looking forward to your next CD.

Just keep your focus on Jesus. God bless you all and your ministry.

I want to thank you guys for allowing God to use you and the talents that He has given to you to bring others closer to Himself. I am so very excited for your new CD to come out. I was at the KTIS Family Day and heard the new song that you sang there. That song really hit me where I was and I am excited to have that one on my iPod along with the other songs that remind me of where I can from, how much God loves me, and how greatful I am to be able to serve Him!!!! Thank you guys again!!!

    Tenth Ave,
Thank you for a wonderful concert last night at the PLAZA THEATRE in Orlando! You guys ROCK!!! Jesus’ ROCKS!!! This time, Kevin and I brought two newcomers to your music. Karen and her daughter Emily came with us to see you all in concert and they could not believe how much FUN it was!!! It is clear that GOD is using your group to interact with so many!!

Before Staci passed away, I just heard about you and your band. I never experienced you before them. Anyway, if I could go back in time, I would spend more time with Staci and be more involved in her activities with Student Venture, Bible Studies, and praise / worship music.

However, I cannot go back but I can pass on to others — parents and kids — Spend time with your loved one’s because you never know when they may not be around.. God has a plan for everyone and at any time, God can create a detour that could dramatically affect your life.

Tenth Ave team, Love you all! So glad you are such a huge part of spreading the word of GOD!

I first heard you guys after I had a major car accident. After I got out of the ambulance I got into my parents car and the first thing I heard on the radio was: “and I’ll be by your side wherever you fall in the dead of night” and I realized His hands were holding me then ad kept me alive. Over and Underneath has spoken to me in a mighty way and I want to thank you guys for giving your all for God!!! You guys rock!! -Ethan

Jeff

I'm excited to fill this journal with literary compositions, artistic trials, and an echelon of ideology. Several thoughts have filled my head on what to put exactly on here. I thought about applying some form on nonsense lesson in each journal. Quite frankly, I don't know how this will all turn out...

But Like Mrs. Who said in A Wrinkle In Time:

"The more a man knows, the less he talks."
